Q. Why do I need to use SSH?  Why can't I use FTP?

A. Because FTP does not encrypt your username and password when you login. SSH does. Given this, FTP makes it possible with simple software to "sniff" your username and password, and thus hack into the server.  You can get an excellent SSH/SCP client here.  It's free.

A. You must either have the ability to write HTML (at a minimum), purchase a copy of a web page creation program (example Front Page 2003), or you must hire someone that is qualified to do it for you. Alternatively, we can provide a custom software solution that will allow you to modify the text of your web page(s) without any special programming knowledge.
